Chaliha College, Nagarbera | Sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi | The two-day National Seminar on “Artificial Intelligence (AI), Society and Development”, sponsored by ICSSR, New Delhi, was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), B.P. Chaliha College, Nagarbera, on 16th and 17th October 2025 in hybrid mode. The inaugural session began with a brief introduction by Dr. Trailokya Deka, Convener of the National Seminar and Coordinator of IQAC. Dr. Kamal Ch. Pathak, Principal of the college delivered the welcome speech. The seminar was inaugurated by Prof. Pranjal Saikia, Professor and Head, Department of Applied Sciences, Gauhati University. Keynote address was delivered by Dr. Surajit Das, Assistant Prof CESP, JNU, New Delhi. Dr. Debasish Talukdar, Physician and Founder CEO of MitoAI, London, UK was the special guest. Dr. Kalpana Bora, Dept. of English, Cotton University, Guwahati, Assam and Dr. Prasenjit Buzarbaruah, Dept. of Economics, Rajiv Gandhi University, Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh shared their views in technical sessions. | View Photo | View File |
| 22-04-2025 | Career Guidance and Information Centre (CGIC) | Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) | The Career Guidance and Information Centre (CGIC) in collaboration with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organised a awareness programme on “Kaushal Sangam” on 22nd April, 2025 at the Digital Classroom of B. P. Chaliha College, Nagarbera. About 66 participants, including the Principal, B. P. Chaliha College Dr. Kamal Ch. Pathak and IQAC coordinator Dr. Trailokya Deka attended the programme to sensitize the matter among students. This aim of the programme was to promote awareness and advice them to register on NSDC Jobx Portal where 17 lakh+ job opportunities have been posted. The event was supported by Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. |
