Objectives (Phase-II):
i) Providing basic Biotechnology infrastructure facility for the Students, Faculties and Researchers of the Host Institute as well as nearby Institutions.
ii) Promoting education and research in Biology, Life Science and Biotechnology.
iii) Attracting brilliant young students to build their career in different fields of Biological Science and Biotechnology.
iv) Organizing Training, Workshop, Special Talk and Advance Lab visit.
v) Providing financial support to attend Conference, Seminar and Short-term training at any Institute in India and Student fellowships.

Five-day Hands-on training on “Basic Instrumentation of Microbial Biotechnology” was organized on 26 -30th March 2024 in collaboration with the Department of Botany, B.P. Chaliha College. The program was inaugurated by the principal and delivered a warm welcome speech. Resource persons were Prof. Kumanand Tayung, Department of Botany, Gauhati Univerisity and Subham Roy, Research Scholar, Gauhati University. A total number of 47 students participated in the program.

Two days hands-on training on DNA Isolation Technique was organized on 22-23rd March 2024. The program was chaired by Dr. Kamal Chandra Pathak, Principal, B.P. Chaliha College. Mr. Arun Kr. Sarkar, Coordinator of the IQAC, inaugurated the program by delivering a speech about the importance of the program. Resource person Dr. Sanjib Kumar Das, NITS, Mirza, Assam led the practical session. A total of 29 participants participated in the program.

Two days of hands-on training on Basic Bioinformatics tools were organized by Biotech Hub on 15-16th March 2024.
