MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT:
The mission of the Department is to offer career oriented graduate programmes imparting employability. The Department aims at engaging the students with fruitful activities as such- quiz competition, seminars, group discussion and presentations. The Department employs innovative pedagogies, field trips, interdisciplinary approaches and so on to build a strong foundation of literary sensibilities.
VISION OF THE DEPARTMENT:
The vision of the Department is to develop the academic excellence of the students. To encourage the students to develop a creative perspective of the surrounding world.
OBJECTIVES:
• To organize weekly no-lecture programmes with the students, where they will be free to juxtapose their aims and innovative plans.
• To organize workshop and training courses addressing the demands of the students.
• To continue the practice of annual departmental wall magazine.
• To institute a research journal of the department
• To establish the practice of film screening.
